C

function

A function is a module or block of program code which deals with a particular task. Making functions is a way of isolating one block of code from other independent blocks of code.

Syntax:
return_type function_name(params){

/*function body*/

return value
}

Example:

int add( int a, int b)
{
	int var1, var2, result;
	var1 = a;
	var2 = b;
	result = var1 + var2;
	return result;
}
