Alternative hypothesis (H1)
The hypothesis that remains tenable when the null hypothesis is rejected [ISERN]
The alternative hypothesis posits that there is no significant difference between two treatments (that is, between two methods, tools, techniques, environments or other conditions whose effects you are measuring) with respect to the dependent variable you are measuring (such as productivity, quality or cost)
