Tag Description

The output tag is used to define different types of output, such as output written by a script.

This tag has the form:

<output name="string">
</output>

HTML5 and HTML4.01 Differences

This tag is new for HTML5.

Attributes

Attribute Value Description
name name (required) Specifies a unique name for the object (to use when a form is submitted)
for id of another element Specifies one or more elements the output field relates to
form form_id Defines one ore more forms the object belongs to

Global Attributes

This tag also supports the HTML Global Attributes.

Event Attributes

This tag also supports the HTML Event Attributes.

Examples

The following example shows the basic use of this tag:
