Description

The die() method removes one or more event handlers, added with the live() method, for selected elements.

This method has the form:

.die()

Return Value

This form returns a jQuery object.


v1.3

This method has the alternate form:

.die(event [, function])
Parameter Description
event (required) Specifies one or more event handlers to remove.

Multiple event values are separated by space. Must be a valid event.
function (optional) Specifies a specific function to remove

Return Value

This form returns a jQuery object.

Examples

Remove all event handles added with the live() method for p elements:

$("p").die();
