jQuery.inArray()


Description

The jQuery.inArray() function searches for a specified value within an array and returns its index (or -1 if not found).

This function has the form:

jQuery.inArray(value, array)
Parameter Description
value The value to search for
array An array through which to search

Return Value

This form returns a Number object.

Examples

Search the array for a number:

jQuery.inArray(10, arr)
