Description

The jQuery.isXMLDoc() function checks to see if a DOM node is within an XML document (or is an XML document).

This function has the form:

jQuery.isXMLDoc(node)
Parameter Description
node The DOM node that will be checked to see if it's in an XML document

Return Value

This form returns a Boolean object.

Examples

Test for XML doc:

jQuery.isXMLDoc(
  document) // false
jQuery.isXMLDoc(
  document.body) // false
