DOM Input Checkbox Object

The Input Checkbox object represents a checkbox in an HTML form.

For each <input type="checkbox"> tag in an HTML form, a Checkbox object is created.

The Input Checkbox object can be accessed by searching through the elements[] array of a form, or by using document.getElementById().

Properties

Property Description
checked Sets or returns whether or not a checkbox should be checked
defaultChecked Returns the default value of the checked attribute
form Returns a reference to the form that contains the checkbox
name Sets or returns the value of the name attribute of a checkbox
type Returns the type of form element the checkbox is
value Sets or returns the value of the value attribute of a checkbox
