AES_DECRYPT


Description

The AES_DECRYPT( ) function decrypts the data by using the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm.

Parameter Description
crypt_str Encrypted string
key_str Key string

Return Value

The function returns original string. If AES_DECRYPT( ) detects invalid data, then it returns NULL.

Examples

The following example shows the basic use of this function:

mysql> SELECT AES_DECRYPT(AES_ENCRYPT("text","password"),"password") ;
+--------------------------------------------------------+
| AES_DECRYPT(AES_ENCRYPT("text","password"),"password") |
+--------------------------------------------------------+
