UTC_TIMESTAMP()


Description

The UTC_TIMESTAMP( ) function returns the current UTC date and time in YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS' or YYYYMMDDHHMMSS.uuuuuu format, depending upon the function used in a string or numeric context.

This function has the form:

SELECT UTC_TIMESTAMP()

Return Value

Current UTC date and time in the format in YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS' or YYYYMMDDHHMMSS.uuuuuu.

Examples

The following example shows the basic use of this function:

mysql> SELECT UTC_TIMESTAMP(), UTC_TIMESTAMP() + 0;
-> '2003-08-14 18:08:04', 20030814180804.000000
