VARIANCE()


Description

The VARIANCE( ) function returns the population standard variance of expr. The standard SQL function VAR_POP ( ) can also be used, since it is an extension to standard SQL. It returns 0, if there is no matching rows.

This function has the form:

SELECT VARIANCE(expr)
Parameter Description
expr An expression

Return Value

Population standard variance of expr. Returns 0, if no matching rows found.
