While...Wend


Description

The While...Wend statement executes a series of statements as long as a given condition is True.

This statement has the following form:

While condition
  [statements]
Wend
Parameter Description
condition (required) Specifies a numeric or string expression that evaluates to True or False. If condition is Null, condition is treated as False.
statements (optional) One or more statements executed while condition is True

Examples

The following example shows the basic use of this statement:

i = 0

While i < 5
  Msgbox("i = " & i)
  i = i + 1
Wend

This produces the following result (each line in a separate pop-up message box):

i = 0
i = 1
i = 2
i = 3
i = 4
